Well, yes, first on the wheels of the train, which now has the privilege of stepping into those magical places and bringing you here. According to historical records, in the 12th century, an unreachable knight with the same name of Gumur resided here in the not commonly accessible castle of Gumur. He himself knew best that this region would one day abound in unique natural wealth. The nature of the landscape is mainly determined by the largest karst area in Slovakia \u2013 the Slovak Karst National Park and its gorges, caves, and scarp, but also cultural and historical wealth.<\/p>\n

The Gothic tourist sightseeing route presents the most interesting and rare gems of Spi\u0161 and Gemer in a comprehensive circuit, which in their importance far exceed the framework of the region and Slovakia and are an inseparable part of European cultural life. Walk along the picturesque paths of the Gothic Route, from which you will marvel at the centuries-old Gothic style in the buildings and on their walls.<\/p>\n

Ple\u0161ivec.<\/strong> No baldness on the walls, quite the opposite! The Ple\u0161ivec paintings really belong to the most important wall-painting artifacts of the 14th century Alpine painting. Today, they are only partially exposed frescoes, but they are among the most valuable medieval wall paintings in Slovakia and at the same time the most important artifact of wall painting of the 14th century. During the restoration of the Ple\u0161ivec church in 1938 by the Hungarian Historical Institute, a painting depicting the two holy Hungarian kings, Stephan and Imrich, on the southern facade and a figure of the saint in the southeastern corner of the presbytery, were uncovered. In 1977-1978, the paintings on the southern wall of the presbytery were discovered and restored. They are two scenes in two bands one above the other: in the upper band only a fragment of the Last Supper preserved and below it a monumental scene of the Crucifixion including two crucified thieves, with three Marys and St. John, a group of Pharisees, soldiers on horses, and other characters. In addition to the monumentality of the scene, the depiction of some details, especially the faces of the Pharisees and St. John, while the painter quite unconventionally placed the symbol of the evangelist Mark – the head of a lion among the crowd gathered under the cross. The mastery of a brilliant painter’s shorthand when depicting the body of a rogue in a pre-death convulsion at Christ’s right is also astonishing. The method of creating plastic halos using wooden pegs is also characteristic of Italian painting of the first half of the thirteenth century.<\/p>\n


\u0160t\u00edtnik<\/strong><\/a>. Take your protective shield, because you will be attacked by so much incredible beauty that you will have trouble resisting the onslaught of the outstanding fresco decoration of the small church in \u0160t\u00edtnik. Its history dates back to the beginning of the 14th century. It was conceived relatively generously since its inception as a Gothic three-nave basilica built on the site of an older church. The fresco decoration in this church represents, of an area of approximately 200 m2, the most extensive preserved example of medieval wall painting in Slovakia. A well-preserved and still used 500-year-old organ is part of the interior equipment. The church currently serves as a parish church for the Evangelical Church choir, and in addition to religious services, various concerts of historical music are often held here.<\/p>\n


Koce\u013eovce<\/strong><\/a>. Stunned by the Gothic splendor, come and harden yourself in the next church \u2013 in Koce\u013eovce. One more big pat on the soul. The entire presbytery is covered by frescoes from 1360-1380. It is one of the most complete Gothic paintings in Slovakia. Paintings are almost everywhere. They represent by far the largest continuous painted area among all of the Gemer churches. They are characterised by a plain to narrative delivery with a marked linearity and unusual compactness of action. The individual scenes are spread over the entire surface of the perimeter walls and vaults of the presbytery in three horizontal strips above each other. In the individual paintings, you can feel that there was enormous wealth in this region in the past. Now this place exudes a wealth of emotions from art that will conquer you fully.<\/p>\n

3. Decipher the Gothic comics in the church in Ochtin\u00e1<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
Ochtin\u00e1<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n

After your morning “three-in-one” coffee, you may start exploring, where your caffeine will really come in handy. Three heads of one god is a big challenge. In a way, this symbol of the three-headed god triglav remained defeated almost like a three-headed dragon, but the divinity of the triune God of Christianity lives here and continues to waft through the air under the wings of a dove as the Holy Spirit. In the arch of the rose window at the end of the presbytery, there is an archaic depiction of the Holy Trinity in a circular medallion in the form of one head with three faces (a similar depiction is known in this country only from the Church of the Holy Spirit in \u017dehra in Spi\u0161 and from the Church of the Holy Trinity in R\u00e1ko\u0161, Gemer). This depiction was used until the Council of Trent (1545-1563). Regarding it as an ancient medieval symbol, it was chosen as the logo of the church and Gemer Gothic Route.<\/p>\n

Another mega batch of valuable frescoes! The Evangelical Church in Ochtin\u00e1 has elements of the Romanesque, Gothic and Baroque styles with beautiful frescoes in the interior. It is among the oldest and most interesting landmarks of the Gemer countryside. Around the mid-14th century, the Ochtin\u00e1 church was painted with figurative wall paintings using the fresco technique. At the beginning of the 16th century, the relatively small space of the church was expanded with a northern side nave covered by a star vault. In the first third of the 17th century, when the church was already Evangelical, the medieval wall paintings were whitewashed, and in the course of the 18th century, the nave was re-roofed with Prussian vaults. Gothic murals cover the entire inner shell of the presbytery and are preserved fragmentarily in the attic space. Only a few fragments of younger Renaissance ornamentation can be seen on the southern wall of the nave, under which a more continuous layer of paintings may be assumed. The Last Supper is one of the most impressive frescoes in Ochtin\u00e1, which impresses one not just by its colour, but also with a certain intimacy of the narrative, which culminates in the following scene, Prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane.<\/p>\n

“Ocht”, the Old German expression for the number eight, became the trigger for the creation of the name of the village Ochtin\u00e1. In the second half of the 13th century, this locality was inhabited by eight German families – “guests”. Now follow the path of the original eight German families, who founded a prosperous settlement here based on the mining of iron ore located in the nearby Hr\u00e1dok hill, and go down to the underground realm of Ochtin\u00e1, even deeper into history, to the depths of underground beauty, tear off a flower, the rarest form of aragonite called iron flower, resembling coral. This world treasure was discovered by complete incident in 1954 while digging a geological survey tunnel. It was opened to the public in 1972. In the access tunnel of the Ochtin\u00e1 Aragonite Cave, you have to climb 104 steps and then just enter the world of beauty that only the almighty mother nature could create. It is a world unique for tiny Slovakia, as the cave is one of the three accessible aragonite caves on the planet. The remaining two are in Mexico and Argentina. Of the total length of 300 metres, 230 of them are accessible and the tour lasts half an hour. According to metric data, it is not a large cave, but it is extremely valuable. The colourful aragonite filling in the form of spirals, needles and coral-like formations creates a diverse mixture of beautiful images. The Hall of the Milky Way is considered to be the most beautiful place in the cave, where white aragonite fringes in a crack in the ceiling create the impression of the stars of our galaxy in the light of lamps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5. Find Jonah and the whale on land in \u0160t\u00edtnik<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The dominant church on the square in \u0160t\u00edtnik is decorated with Gothic frescoes that will leave you standing in awe. It’s an incredible feeling. A person quite suddenly and completely unexpectedly leaves the 21st century and kind of dives through a time gate into the Middle Ages. Admire the apocalyptic scenes, the white riders on horseback, Saint Bartholomew with red paint and a skin pulled over his shoulders on the oldest Gothic on the east wall of the nave. It is here that the true fresco technique, typical for Italy, is used. An interesting scene from the Old Testament legend about Jonah and the Whale may be found in the \u0160t\u00edtnik church artistically processed several times: in the form of a relief in the extension of the main altar, as a panel painting on one of the epitaphs and also as a small scene in the frescoes. Because of this trinity of motifs, Jonah is in the logo of the church. And so that we don’t remain at the Biblical three, not even the Biblical seven may be ashamed in \u0160t\u00edtnik. Look at the Gothic window. Those circles symbolise the secular motif of the seven liberal arts, the so-called Septem Artes Liberales. You will find logic, arithmetic, grammar, rhetoric, astronomy or music there. To see something similar among Biblical motifs is an absolute rarity. The second such display can only be found in the city of Lucca in the south of Italy.<\/p>\n

6. Passing through the Slavo\u0161ovce and the Kopr\u00e1\u0161 tunnels<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Only the railway guard of the historical secrets of the rails can get here. The guard hides them in the darkness of the tunnels, and today you have the opportunity to pass through the absolute darkness, in which her great secrets will shine. A walk through the tunnel has its own mysterious charm and its own history. The Slavo\u0161ovce Tunnel under Hom\u00f4lka together with the nearby Kopr\u00e1\u0161 Tunnel and Viaduct are the places where a powerful experience awaits you. They are abandoned railway tunnels through which no train has ever passed. However, they are publicly accessible and hide an unforgettable crossing experience. There is magical darkness, cool dampness and total silence. Illuminate the secrets of dark tunnels with a headlamp or flashlight. Brave visitors describe visiting the tunnel as a strong adrenaline experience. It is a truly extraordinary feeling that is worth it! The Slavo\u0161ovc Tunnel is 2.4 km long and 6 m high. It connects Slavo\u0161ovce and Magnezitovce and was never put into operation. It began to be built during the World War II in 1941. It was ceremonially passed through in the spring of 1944. Constructing the tunnel lost its importance with the end of the war and the approaching Slovak National Uprising. In the end, the tunnel has never been used. Construction of the Kopr\u00e1\u0161 Tunnel began in March 1941. Despite transport and supply difficulties, it only lasted a few months. As early as 11 August 1941, a celebration could be held at the construction site of the tunnel, whose directional deviation was not greater than 1 millimeter, and it is also rare that the excavation of the directional tunnel was completed without injury. Compared to its more famous Slavo\u0161ovce neighbour, the Kopr\u00e1\u0161 Tunnel is much shorter (its length does not even reach 250 m), but it is possible to pass through it even without artificial lighting. It mouths in the form of a viaduct, which, however, remained unfinished. The viaduct towering over the surrounding picturesque landscape is 38 metres high and 120 metres long.<\/p>\n

Because of this trinity of motifs, Jonah is in the logo of the church. And so that we don't remain at the Biblical three, not even the Biblical seven may be ashamed in \u0160t\u00edtnik. Look at the Gothic window. Those circles symbolise the secular motif of the seven liberal arts, the so-called Septem Artes Liberales. You will find logic, arithmetic, grammar, rhetoric, astronomy or music there. To see something similar among Biblical motifs is an absolute rarity. The second such display can only be found in the city of Lucca in the south of Italy.<\/p>\n

The Slavo\u0161ovce Tunnel under Hom\u00f4lka together with the nearby Kopr\u00e1\u0161 Tunnel and Viaduct are the places where a powerful experience awaits you. They are abandoned railway tunnels through which no train has ever passed. However, they are publicly accessible and hide an unforgettable crossing experience. There is magical darkness, cool dampness and total silence. Illuminate the secrets of dark tunnels with a headlamp or flashlight. Brave visitors describe visiting the tunnel as a strong adrenaline experience. It is a truly extraordinary feeling that is worth it! The Slavo\u0161ovc Tunnel is 2.4 km long and 6 m high. It connects Slavo\u0161ovce and Magnezitovce and was never put into operation. It began to be built during the World War II in 1941. It was ceremonially passed through in the spring of 1944. Constructing the tunnel lost its importance with the end of the war and the approaching Slovak National Uprising. In the end, the tunnel has never been used. Construction of the Kopr\u00e1\u0161 Tunnel began in March 1941. Despite transport and supply difficulties, it only lasted a few months. As early as 11 August 1941, a celebration could be held at the construction site of the tunnel, whose directional deviation was not greater than 1 millimeter, and it is also rare that the excavation of the directional tunnel was completed without injury. Compared to its more famous Slavo\u0161ovce neighbour, the Kopr\u00e1\u0161 Tunnel is much shorter (its length does not even reach 250 m), but it is possible to pass through it even without artificial lighting. It mouths in the form of a viaduct, which, however, remained unfinished. The viaduct towering over the surrounding picturesque landscape is 38 metres high and 120 metres long.<\/p>\n

S\u00fa to dva v\u00fdjavy v dvoch p\u00e1soch nad sebou: v hornom p\u00e1se len fragment\u00e1rne zachovan\u00e1 Posledn\u00e1 ve\u010dera a pod \u0148ou monument\u00e1lny v\u00fdjav Ukri\u017eovania vr\u00e1tane dvoch ukri\u017eovan\u00fdch lotrov, s tromi M\u00e1riami a sv. J\u00e1nom, skupinou farizejov, vojakov na ko\u0148och a \u010fal\u0161\u00edch post\u00e1v. Popri monumentalite v\u00fdjavu udivuje aj stv\u00e1rnenie niektor\u00fdch detailov, najm\u00e4 tv\u00e1r\u00ed farizejov a sv. J\u00e1na, pri\u010dom medzi dav zhroma\u017eden\u00fd pod kr\u00ed\u017eom maliar celkom netradi\u010dne umiestnil symbol evanjelistu Marka \u2013 hlavu leva. Udivuj\u00face je tie\u017e zvl\u00e1dnutie brav\u00farnej maliarskej skratky pri zobrazen\u00ed tela lotra v predsmrtnom k\u0155\u010di po Kristovej pravici. Sp\u00f4sob tvorenia plastick\u00fdch sv\u00e4to\u017eiar pomocou dreven\u00fdch kol\u00ed\u010dkov je tie\u017e charakteristick\u00fd pre taliansk\u00fa ma\u013ebu prvej polovice trecenta.<\/p>\n


\u0160t\u00edtnik<\/strong><\/a>. Vezmi si ochrann\u00fd \u0161t\u00edt, preto\u017ee na teba za\u00fato\u010d\u00ed to\u013eko neuverite\u013enej kr\u00e1sy, \u017ee bude\u0161 ma\u0165 probl\u00e9m odol\u00e1va\u0165 n\u00e1poru vystupuj\u00facej freskovej v\u00fdzdoby kostol\u00edka v \u0160t\u00edtniku. S\u00fa\u010das\u0165ou interi\u00e9rov\u00e9ho vybavenia je i zachoval\u00fd a st\u00e1le vyu\u017e\u00edvan\u00fd 500-ro\u010dn\u00fd organ. Kostol aktu\u00e1lne sl\u00fa\u017ei ako farsk\u00fd chr\u00e1m pre zbor evanjelickej cirkvi a okrem bohoslu\u017eieb sa tu \u010dasto konaj\u00fa aj r\u00f4zne koncerty historickej hudby.<\/p>\n


Koce\u013eovce<\/strong><\/a>. Omr\u00e1\u010den\u00fd gotickou n\u00e1dherou sa pr\u00ed\u010f zoceli\u0165 do \u010fal\u0161ieho kostola \u2013 v Koce\u013eovciach. Op\u00e4\u0165 jedno ve\u013ek\u00e9 pohladenie po du\u0161i. Cel\u00e9 presbyt\u00e9rium je pokryt\u00e9 freskami z roku 1360 \u2013 1380. Je to jedna z najucelenej\u0161\u00edch gotick\u00fdch malieb na Slovensku. Ma\u013eby s\u00fa takmer v\u0161ade. Predstavuj\u00fa doposia\u013e najv\u00e4\u010d\u0161iu s\u00favisl\u00fa poma\u013eovan\u00fa plochu spomedzi v\u0161etk\u00fdch gemersk\u00fdch kostolov. Vyzna\u010duj\u00fa sa bezprostredn\u00fdm a\u017e narat\u00edvnym podan\u00edm s v\u00fdraznou line\u00e1rnos\u0165ou a nezvy\u010dajnou kompaktnos\u0165ou p\u00f4sobenia. Jednotliv\u00e9 v\u00fdjavy s\u00fa rozmiestnen\u00e9 na celej ploche obvodov\u00fdch stien a klenieb presbyt\u00e9ria v troch horizont\u00e1lnych p\u00e1soch nad sebou. Na jednotliv\u00fdch ma\u013eb\u00e1ch je c\u00edti\u0165, \u017ee v minulosti bolo v tomto regi\u00f3ne obrovsk\u00e9 bohatstvo. Svojim sp\u00f4sobom zostal tento symbol trojhlav\u00e9ho boha triglav porazen\u00fd takmer ako trojhlav\u00fd drak, no bo\u017estvo trojjedin\u00e9ho Boha kres\u0165anstva tu \u017eije a na\u010falej vanie vzduchom pod kr\u00eddlami holubice ako Ducha Sv\u00e4t\u00e9ho. V z\u00e1klenku rozetov\u00e9ho okna z\u00e1veru presbyt\u00e9ria je v kruhovom medail\u00f3ne archaick\u00e9 zobrazenie Sv\u00e4tej Trojice v podobe jednej hlavy s tromi tv\u00e1rami (obdobn\u00e9 stv\u00e1rnenie pozn\u00e1me u n\u00e1s len z Kostola sv. Ducha v \u017dehre na Spi\u0161i a z Kostola Najsv\u00e4tej\u0161ej Trojice v gemerskom R\u00e1ko\u0161i).<\/em> Toto zobrazenie sa pou\u017e\u00edvalo do Tridentsk\u00e9ho koncilu (1545 \u2013 1563).<\/em> Pova\u017euj\u00fac ho za d\u00e1vny stredovek\u00fd symbol, bolo vybran\u00e9 ako logo kostola i gemerskej Gotickej cesty.<\/p>\n

\u010eal\u0161ia mega d\u00e1vka hodnotn\u00fdch fresiek! Evanjelick\u00fd kostol v Ochtinej<\/a> nesie prvky rom\u00e1nskeho, gotick\u00e9ho a barokov\u00e9ho slohu s n\u00e1dhern\u00fdmi freskami v interi\u00e9ri. Patr\u00ed medzi najstar\u0161ie a najzauj\u00edmavej\u0161ie dominanty gemersk\u00e9ho vidieka. Okolo polovice 14. storo\u010dia bol ochtinsk\u00fd kostol vyma\u013eovan\u00fd figur\u00e1lnymi n\u00e1stenn\u00fdmi ma\u013ebami freskovou technikou. V prvej tretine 17. storo\u010dia, kedy bol kostol u\u017e evanjelick\u00fd, doch\u00e1dza k zabieleniu stredovek\u00fdch n\u00e1stenn\u00fdch malieb a v priebehu 18. storo\u010dia k nov\u00e9mu zastropeniu lode prusk\u00fdmi klenbami. Gotick\u00e9 n\u00e1stenn\u00e9 ma\u013eby pokr\u00fdvaj\u00fa cel\u00fd vn\u00fatorn\u00fd pl\u00e1\u0161\u0165 presbyt\u00e9ria a fragment\u00e1rne s\u00fa zachovan\u00e9 v povalovom priestore. Na ju\u017enej stene lode vidno len nieko\u013eko fragmentov mlad\u0161ej renesan\u010dnej ornamentiky, pod ktorou mo\u017eno predpoklada\u0165 s\u00favislej\u0161iu vrstvu malieb. Jednou z najp\u00f4sobivej\u0161\u00edch ochtinsk\u00fdch fresiek je Posledn\u00e1 ve\u010dera, ktor\u00e1 zaujme nielen svojou farebnos\u0165ou, ale aj ur\u010ditou intimitou pr\u00edbehu, ktor\u00e1 vrchol\u00ed v nasleduj\u00facom v\u00fdjave Modlitba v Getsemanskej z\u00e1hrade.<\/p>\n

Pus\u0165 sa teraz po ceste od p\u00f4vodn\u00fdch \u00f4smich nemeck\u00fdch rod\u00edn, ktor\u00e9 tu zalo\u017eili prosperuj\u00facu osadu na b\u00e1ze \u0165a\u017eby \u017eeleznej rudy nach\u00e1dzaj\u00facej sa v bl\u00edzkom vrchu Hr\u00e1dok, a spus\u0165 sa a\u017e do podzemn\u00e9ho ochtinsk\u00e9ho kr\u00e1\u013eovstva, e\u0161te hlb\u0161ie do dej\u00edn, a\u017e do hlb\u00edn podzemnej kr\u00e1sy, odtrhni si kvet, najvz\u00e1cnej\u0161\u00ed tvar aragonitu naz\u00fdvan\u00fd \u017eelezn\u00fd kvet, pripom\u00ednaj\u00faci koral. Tento svetov\u00fd poklad objavili \u00faplnou n\u00e1hodou v roku 1954 pri razen\u00ed geologickej prieskumnej \u0161t\u00f4lne. Verejnosti ju spr\u00edstupnili v roku 1972. V pr\u00edstupovej \u0161t\u00f4lni Ochtinskej aragonitovej jaskyne mus\u00ed\u0161 zdola\u0165 104 schodov a potom u\u017e len vst\u00fap do sveta n\u00e1dhery, ak\u00fa mohla vytvori\u0165 len v\u0161emocn\u00e1 matka pr\u00edroda. Ide o svetov\u00fd unik\u00e1t mali\u010dk\u00e9ho Slovenska, ke\u010f\u017ee jasky\u0148a je jednou z troch spr\u00edstupnen\u00fdch aragonitov\u00fdch jask\u00fd\u0148 plan\u00e9ty. Zvy\u0161n\u00e9 dve s\u00fa v Mexiku a Argent\u00edne. Z celkovej d\u013a\u017eky 300 metrov je ich spr\u00edstupnen\u00fdch 230 a prehliadka trv\u00e1 polhodinu. Pod\u013ea metrick\u00fdch \u00fadajov nejde o ve\u013ek\u00fa jasky\u0148u, je v\u0161ak mimoriadne cenn\u00e1. Pestr\u00e1 aragonitov\u00e1 v\u00fdpl\u0148 vo forme \u0161pir\u00e1l, ihli\u010diek a \u00fatvarov podobaj\u00facich sa na koraly vytv\u00e1ra r\u00f4znorod\u00fa zmes n\u00e1dhern\u00fdch obrazov. Za najkraj\u0161ie miesto jaskyne je pova\u017eovan\u00e1 Sie\u0148 Mlie\u010dnej dr\u00e1hy, kde biele aragonitov\u00e9 strapce v pukline na strope vytv\u00e1raj\u00fa vo svetle l\u00e1mp dojem hviezd na\u0161ej galaxie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Obdivuj apokalyptick\u00e9 sc\u00e9ny, bielych jazdcov na koni, sv\u00e4t\u00e9ho Bartolomeja s \u010dervenou farbou a stiahnutou ko\u017eou prehodenou cez plece na najstar\u0161ej gotike na v\u00fdchodnej stene bo\u010dnej lode. Je to skuto\u010dne neoby\u010dajn\u00fd pocit, ktor\u00fd stoj\u00ed za to! Slavo\u0161ovsk\u00fd tunel je dlh\u00fd 2,4 km a vysok\u00fd 6 m. Sp\u00e1ja Slavo\u0161ovce a Magnezitovce a nikdy nebol uveden\u00fd do prev\u00e1dzky. Za\u010dal sa stava\u0165 po\u010das druhej svetovej vojny v roku 1941. Sl\u00e1vnostne prerazen\u00fd bol na jar v roku 1944. Dostavanie tunela stratilo svoj v\u00fdznam koncom vojny a bl\u00ed\u017eiacim sa SNP. Nakoniec nebol tunel nikdy pou\u017e\u00edvan\u00fd. Kopr\u00e1\u0161sky tunel sa za\u010dal stava\u0165 v marci 1941. Napriek dopravn\u00fdm a z\u00e1sobovac\u00edm \u0165a\u017ekostiam to trvalo len nieko\u013eko mesiacov. U\u017e 11. augusta 1941 sa mohla na stavbe \u00faseku kona\u0165 sl\u00e1vnos\u0165 z prerazenia tunela, ktor\u00e9ho smerov\u00e1 odch\u00fdlka nebola v\u00e4\u010d\u0161ia ako 1 milimeter a ojedinel\u00e9 je aj to, \u017ee razenie smerovej \u0161t\u00f4lne sa odbavilo bez \u00farazu. Oproti sl\u00e1vnej\u0161iemu Slavo\u0161ovsk\u00e9mu susedovi je Kopr\u00e1\u0161sky tunel omnoho krat\u0161\u00ed, (jeho d\u013a\u017eka nedosahuje ani 250 m), je ho ale mo\u017en\u00e9 prejs\u0165 aj bez umel\u00e9ho osvetlenia. Vy\u00fas\u0165uje v podobe  viaduktu, ktor\u00fd v\u0161ak zostal nedokon\u010den\u00fd. Viadukt t\u00fd\u010diaci sa nad okolitou malebnou krajinou m\u00e1 v\u00fd\u0161ku 38 metrov a d\u013a\u017eku 120 metrov.<\/p>\n

The Gothic tourist sightseeing route presents the most interesting and rare gems of Spi\u0161 and Gemer in a comprehensive circuit, which in their importance far exceed the framework of the region and Slovakia and are an inseparable part of European cultural life. Walk along the picturesque paths of the Gothic Route, from which you will marvel at the centuries-old Gothic style in the buildings and on their walls.<\/p>\n

Ple\u0161ivec.<\/strong> No baldness on the walls, quite the opposite! The Ple\u0161ivec paintings really belong to the most important wall-painting artifacts of the 14th century Alpine painting. Today, they are only partially exposed frescoes, but they are among the most valuable medieval wall paintings in Slovakia and at the same time the most important artifact of wall painting of the 14th century. During the restoration of the Ple\u0161ivec church in 1938 by the Hungarian Historical Institute, a painting depicting the two holy Hungarian kings, Stephan and Imrich, on the southern facade and a figure of the saint in the southeastern corner of the presbytery, were uncovered. In 1977-1978, the paintings on the southern wall of the presbytery were discovered and restored. They are two scenes in two bands one above the other: in the upper band only a fragment of the Last Supper preserved and below it a monumental scene of the Crucifixion including two crucified thieves, with three Marys and St. John, a group of Pharisees, soldiers on horses, and other characters. In addition to the monumentality of the scene, the depiction of some details, especially the faces of the Pharisees and St. John, while the painter quite unconventionally placed the symbol of the evangelist Mark - the head of a lion among the crowd gathered under the cross. The mastery of a brilliant painter's shorthand when depicting the body of a rogue in a pre-death convulsion at Christ's right is also astonishing. The method of creating plastic halos using wooden pegs is also characteristic of Italian painting of the first half of the thirteenth century.<\/p>\n


\u0160t\u00edtnik<\/strong><\/a>. Take your protective shield, because you will be attacked by so much incredible beauty that you will have trouble resisting the onslaught of the outstanding fresco decoration of the small church in \u0160t\u00edtnik. Its history dates back to the beginning of the 14th century. It was conceived relatively generously since its inception as a Gothic three-nave basilica built on the site of an older church. The fresco decoration in this church represents, of an area of approximately 200 m2, the most extensive preserved example of medieval wall painting in Slovakia. A well-preserved and still used 500-year-old organ is part of the interior equipment. The church currently serves as a parish church for the Evangelical Church choir, and in addition to religious services, various concerts of historical music are often held here.<\/p>\n


Koce\u013eovce<\/strong><\/a>. Stunned by the Gothic splendor, come and harden yourself in the next church \u2013 in Koce\u013eovce. One more big pat on the soul. The entire presbytery is covered by frescoes from 1360-1380. It is one of the most complete Gothic paintings in Slovakia. Paintings are almost everywhere. They represent by far the largest continuous painted area among all of the Gemer churches. They are characterised by a plain to narrative delivery with a marked linearity and unusual compactness of action. The individual scenes are spread over the entire surface of the perimeter walls and vaults of the presbytery in three horizontal strips above each other. In the individual paintings, you can feel that there was enormous wealth in this region in the past. Now this place exudes a wealth of emotions from art that will conquer you fully.<\/p>\n

After your morning \"three-in-one\" coffee, you may start exploring, where your caffeine will really come in handy. Three heads of one god is a big challenge. In a way, this symbol of the three-headed god triglav remained defeated almost like a three-headed dragon, but the divinity of the triune God of Christianity lives here and continues to waft through the air under the wings of a dove as the Holy Spirit. In the arch of the rose window at the end of the presbytery, there is an archaic depiction of the Holy Trinity in a circular medallion in the form of one head with three faces (a similar depiction is known in this country only from the Church of the Holy Spirit in \u017dehra in Spi\u0161 and from the Church of the Holy Trinity in R\u00e1ko\u0161, Gemer). This depiction was used until the Council of Trent (1545-1563). Regarding it as an ancient medieval symbol, it was chosen as the logo of the church and Gemer Gothic Route.<\/p>\n

Another mega batch of valuable frescoes! The Evangelical Church in Ochtin\u00e1 has elements of the Romanesque, Gothic and Baroque styles with beautiful frescoes in the interior. It is among the oldest and most interesting landmarks of the Gemer countryside. Around the mid-14th century, the Ochtin\u00e1 church was painted with figurative wall paintings using the fresco technique. At the beginning of the 16th century, the relatively small space of the church was expanded with a northern side nave covered by a star vault. In the first third of the 17th century, when the church was already Evangelical, the medieval wall paintings were whitewashed, and in the course of the 18th century, the nave was re-roofed with Prussian vaults. Gothic murals cover the entire inner shell of the presbytery and are preserved fragmentarily in the attic space. Only a few fragments of younger Renaissance ornamentation can be seen on the southern wall of the nave, under which a more continuous layer of paintings may be assumed. The Last Supper is one of the most impressive frescoes in Ochtin\u00e1, which impresses one not just by its colour, but also with a certain intimacy of the narrative, which culminates in the following scene, Prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane.<\/p>\n

Now follow the path of the original eight German families, who founded a prosperous settlement here based on the mining of iron ore located in the nearby Hr\u00e1dok hill, and go down to the underground realm of Ochtin\u00e1, even deeper into history, to the depths of underground beauty, tear off a flower, the rarest form of aragonite called iron flower, resembling coral. This world treasure was discovered by complete incident in 1954 while digging a geological survey tunnel. It was opened to the public in 1972. In the access tunnel of the Ochtin\u00e1 Aragonite Cave, you have to climb 104 steps and then just enter the world of beauty that only the almighty mother nature could create. It is a world unique for tiny Slovakia, as the cave is one of the three accessible aragonite caves on the planet. The remaining two are in Mexico and Argentina. Of the total length of 300 metres, 230 of them are accessible and the tour lasts half an hour. According to metric data, it is not a large cave, but it is extremely valuable. The colourful aragonite filling in the form of spirals, needles and coral-like formations creates a diverse mixture of beautiful images. The Hall of the Milky Way is considered to be the most beautiful place in the cave, where white aragonite fringes in a crack in the ceiling create the impression of the stars of our galaxy in the light of lamps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The dominant church on the square in \u0160t\u00edtnik is decorated with Gothic frescoes that will leave you standing in awe. It's an incredible feeling. A person quite suddenly and completely unexpectedly leaves the 21st century and kind of dives through a time gate into the Middle Ages. Admire the apocalyptic scenes, the white riders on horseback, Saint Bartholomew with red paint and a skin pulled over his shoulders on the oldest Gothic on the east wall of the nave. It is here that the true fresco technique, typical for Italy, is used. An interesting scene from the Old Testament legend about Jonah and the Whale may be found in the \u0160t\u00edtnik church artistically processed several times: in the form of a relief in the extension of the main altar, as a panel painting on one of the epitaphs and also as a small scene in the frescoes. Because of this trinity of motifs, Jonah is in the logo of the church. And so that we don't remain at the Biblical three, not even the Biblical seven may be ashamed in \u0160t\u00edtnik. Look at the Gothic window. Those circles symbolise the secular motif of the seven liberal arts, the so-called Septem Artes Liberales. You will find logic, arithmetic, grammar, rhetoric, astronomy or music there. To see something similar among Biblical motifs is an absolute rarity. The second such display can only be found in the city of Lucca in the south of Italy.<\/p>\n

The guard hides them in the darkness of the tunnels, and today you have the opportunity to pass through the absolute darkness, in which her great secrets will shine. A walk through the tunnel has its own mysterious charm and its own history. The Slavo\u0161ovce Tunnel under Hom\u00f4lka together with the nearby Kopr\u00e1\u0161 Tunnel and Viaduct are the places where a powerful experience awaits you. They are abandoned railway tunnels through which no train has ever passed. However, they are publicly accessible and hide an unforgettable crossing experience. There is magical darkness, cool dampness and total silence. Illuminate the secrets of dark tunnels with a headlamp or flashlight. Brave visitors describe visiting the tunnel as a strong adrenaline experience. It is a truly extraordinary feeling that is worth it! The Slavo\u0161ovc Tunnel is 2.4 km long and 6 m high. It connects Slavo\u0161ovce and Magnezitovce and was never put into operation. It began to be built during the World War II in 1941. It was ceremonially passed through in the spring of 1944. Constructing the tunnel lost its importance with the end of the war and the approaching Slovak National Uprising. In the end, the tunnel has never been used. Construction of the Kopr\u00e1\u0161 Tunnel began in March 1941. Despite transport and supply difficulties, it only lasted a few months. As early as 11 August 1941, a celebration could be held at the construction site of the tunnel, whose directional deviation was not greater than 1 millimeter, and it is also rare that the excavation of the directional tunnel was completed without injury. Compared to its more famous Slavo\u0161ovce neighbour, the Kopr\u00e1\u0161 Tunnel is much shorter (its length does not even reach 250 m), but it is possible to pass through it even without artificial lighting. It mouths in the form of a viaduct, which, however, remained unfinished. The viaduct towering over the surrounding picturesque landscape is 38 metres high and 120 metres long.<\/p>\n

Der gotische touristische Erkundungsweg pr\u00e4sentiert auf einem zusammenh\u00e4ngenden Rundweg die interessantesten und wertvollsten Juwelen der Regionen Zips und Gemer, deren Bedeutung weit \u00fcber die Grenzen der Region und der Slowakei hinausragt und die ein untrennbarer Bestandteil des europ\u00e4ischen Kulturlebens sind. Geh die malerischen Stra\u00dfen des Gotischen Wegs durch, entlang deren du \u00fcberall rundherum die schon seit Jahrhunderten strahlende Gotik in und an Bauwerken bestaunen kannst.<\/p>\n


Ple\u0161ivec (slow. Kahlkopf). Keine kahlen W\u00e4nde, ganz im Gegenteil! Die Gem\u00e4lde von Ple\u0161ivec geh\u00f6ren wahrlich zu den bedeutendsten Artefakten der transalpinen Wandmalerei des 14. Jahrhunderts. Heute handelt es sich um nur teilweise freigelegte Fresken, die jedoch zu den wertvollsten mittelalterlichen Wandmalereien in der Slowakei und gleichzeitig zu den bedeutendsten Artefakten der der transalpinen Wandmalerei des 14. Jahrhunderts z\u00e4hlen. Bei der Restaurierung der Kirche von Ple\u0161ivec im Jahr 1938 durch das Ungarische Denkmalinstitut wurden Gem\u00e4lde freigelegt, die an der S\u00fcdfassade die beiden heiligen ungarischen K\u00f6nige Stephan und Emmerich, in der s\u00fcd\u00f6stlichen Ecke des Presbyteriums wiederum eine Heiligenfigur darstellen. In den Jahren 1977-1978 wurden Malereien an der S\u00fcdwand des Presbyteriums entdeckt und restauriert. Es handelt sich um zwei Szenen auf zwei \u00fcbereinander liegenden B\u00e4ndern: im oberen Band das nur fragmentarisch erhaltene Abendmahl und darunter eine monumentale Kreuzigungsszene mit den zwei gekreuzigten Dieben, den drei Marien und dem hl. Johannes, einer Gruppe von Pharis\u00e4ern, Soldaten auf Pferden und anderen Figuren. Neben der Monumentalit\u00e4t der Szene beeindruckt auch die Darstellung einiger Details, insbesondere der Gesichter der Pharis\u00e4er und des hl. Johannes, w\u00e4hrend der Maler unter der am Kreuz versammelten Menge ganz unkonventionell das Symbol des Evangelisten Markus - einen L\u00f6wenkopf - platzierte. Erstaunlich ist auch die Beherrschung einer brillanten malerischen Reduktion bei der Darstellung des K\u00f6rpers des Verbrechers zur Rechten Christi in seinem Todeskrampf. Charakteristisch f\u00fcr die italienische Malerei der ersten H\u00e4lfte des Trecento ist auch die Methode, mithilfe von Holzstiften plastische Heiligenscheine zu erzeugen.<\/p>\n


\u0160t\u00edtnik<\/strong><\/a>. Nimm dir lieber einen Schutzschild mit, denn du wirst von so viel unglaublicher Sch\u00f6nheit \u00fcberw\u00e4ltigt, dass du dem Ansturm der herausragenden Freskendekoration in der Kirche von \u0160t\u00edtnik nur mit M\u00fche widerstehen wirst. Ihre Geschichte reicht in das beginnende 14. Jahrhundert zur\u00fcck, wobei die Kirche schon bei ihrer Gr\u00fcndung recht gro\u00dfz\u00fcgig, als eine gotische dreischiffige Basilika an der Stelle einer \u00e4lteren Kirche errichtet worden war. Die Freskendekoration in dieser Kirche stellt mit einer Fl\u00e4che von ca. 200 Quadratmetern die umfangreichste erhaltene Repr\u00e4sentation mittelalterlicher Wandmalerei in der Slowakei dar. Zur Innenausstattung geh\u00f6rt auch eine wohlerhaltene und immer noch genutzte 500 Jahre alte Orgel. Die Kirche dient heute als Pfarrkirche f\u00fcr eine evangelische Kirchengemeinde und neben Gottesdiensten finden hier h\u00e4ufig auch verschiedene Konzerte mit historischer Musik statt.<\/p>\n


Koce\u013eovce<\/strong><\/a>. Um dich von der Bet\u00e4ubung durch die gotische Pracht zu erholen, besuch eine weitere Kirche in Koce\u013eovce. Wieder einmal ein wunderbarer Balsam f\u00fcr die Seele. Das gesamte Presbyterium ist bedeckt mit Fresken aus den Jahren 1360-1380, die zu den vollst\u00e4ndigsten gotischen Wandgem\u00e4lden in der Slowakei geh\u00f6ren. Die Gem\u00e4lde sind fast \u00fcberall. Sie repr\u00e4sentieren die mit Abstand gr\u00f6\u00dfte zusammenh\u00e4ngende bemalte Fl\u00e4che unter allen Gemerer Kirchen. Sie zeichnen sich durch eine unmittelbare bis narrative Darstellung mit ausgepr\u00e4gter Linearit\u00e4t und eine ungew\u00f6hnlich kompakte Wirkungsweise aus. Die einzelnen Szenen verteilen sich \u00fcber die gesamte Fl\u00e4che der Umfassungsw\u00e4nde und des Gew\u00f6lbes des Presbyteriums in drei \u00fcbereinander liegenden horizontalen Streifen. Die einzelnen Gem\u00e4lde lassen erahnen, dass es in dieser Region in der Vergangenheit einen enormen Reichtum gab. Jetzt strahlt dieser Ort eine reiche F\u00fclle an k\u00fcnstlerischen Emotionen aus, von denen auch du v\u00f6llig \u00fcberw\u00e4ltigt sein wirst.<\/p>\n

Begib dich nach deinem morgendlichen \"3-in-1\"-Kaffee auf eine Entdeckungsreise, bei der du Koffein wirklich brauchen wirst. Drei K\u00f6pfe eines Gottes sind n\u00e4mlich eine echte Herausforderung. In gewisser Hinsicht ist dieses Symbol des dreik\u00f6pfigen Gottes Triglav, fast wie ein dreik\u00f6pfiger Drache, besiegt worden, doch die Gottheit des dreieinigen Gottes der Christenheit lebt hier unter den Fl\u00fcgeln einer Taube, des Heiligen Geistes fort, und erf\u00fcllt auch weiterhin den Raum. Im Bogen des Rosettenfensters im Abschluss des Presbyteriums befindet sich in einem kreisf\u00f6rmigen Medaillon eine archaische Darstellung der Heiligen Dreifaltigkeit in Form eines Kopfes mit drei Gesichtern (eine \u00e4hnliche Darstellung ist bei uns nur aus der Heilig-Geist-Kirche in \u017dehra in der Zips und aus der Kirche der Hl. Dreifaltigkeit in R\u00e1ko\u0161 in Gemer bekannt). Diese Darstellung war bis zum Konzil von Trient (1545-1563) gebr\u00e4uchlich. Angesehen als ein uraltes mittelalterliches Symbol wurde sie zum Logo der Kirche sowie des Gotischen Wegs von Gemer gew\u00e4hlt.<\/span><\/p>\n

Eine weitere Mega-Dosis wertvoller Fresken! Die evangelische Kirche in Ochtin\u00e1 weist Elemente des romanischen, gotischen und barocken Stils mit wundersch\u00f6nen Fresken in ihrem Innenraum auf. Sie geh\u00f6rt zu den \u00e4ltesten und interessantesten Wahrzeichen der Gemerer Provinz. Etwa um die Mitte des 14. Jahrhunderts wurde die Kirche von Ochtin\u00e1 mit fig\u00fcrlichen Wandmalereien mit Freskentechnik bemalt. Zu Beginn des 16. Jahrhunderts wurde der relativ kleine Kirchenraum um ein n\u00f6rdliches Seitenschiff mit Sterngew\u00f6lbe erweitert. Im ersten Drittel des 17. Jahrhunderts, als die Kirche bereits evangelisch war, wurden die mittelalterlichen Wandmalereien \u00fcbert\u00fcncht und im Laufe des 18. Jahrhunderts das Kirchenschiff mit neuer preu\u00dfischer Kappendecke versehen. Gotische Wandmalereien bedecken den gesamten inneren Mantel des Presbyteriums und haben sich in Fragmenten auch im Dachgeschoss erhalten. An der S\u00fcdwand des Kirchenschiffs sind nur einige Fragmente j\u00fcngerer Renaissance-Ornamentik zu sehen, unter denen eine koh\u00e4rentere Gem\u00e4ldeschicht vermutet wird. Eins der imposantesten Fresken von Ochtin\u00e1 ist das Letzte Abendmahl, das nicht nur durch seine Farbgebung besticht, sondern auch durch eine gewisse Intimit\u00e4t der Geschichte, die in der nachfolgenden Szene, dem Gebet im Garten Gethsemane, ihren H\u00f6hepunkt hat.<\/span><\/p>\n

4. Von Ochtin\u00e1 aus zu Fu\u00df zur Ochtinaer Aragonith\u00f6hle gehen (weltweit eine von drei zug\u00e4nglichen H\u00f6hlen ihrer Art)<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Der altdeutsche Ausdruck f\u00fcr die Zahl Acht: \u201eocht\u201c gab die Anregung f\u00fcr die Namensbildung der Gemeinde Ochtin\u00e1. In der zweiten H\u00e4lfte des 13. Jahrhunderts ist dieser Ort von acht deutschen Familien - \"G\u00e4sten\" \u2013 besiedelt worden. Begib dich nun auf dem Weg von den urspr\u00fcnglichen acht deutschen Familien, die hier eine florierende Siedlung auf der Grundlage des Eisenerzabbaus auf dem nahe gelegenen H\u00fcgel Hr\u00e1dok gr\u00fcndeten, und steig hinab in das unterirdische Reich von Ochtin\u00e1, noch tiefer in die Geschichte, in die Tiefen der unterirdischen Sch\u00f6nheit, und pfl\u00fcck dir eine Blume, die seltenste Formvariet\u00e4t von Aragonit, genannt Eisenbl\u00fcte, die einer Koralle \u00e4hnelt. Dieses Weltjuwel wurde 1954 v\u00f6llig zuf\u00e4llig bei Vortriebsarbeiten an einem geologischen Erkundungsstollen entdeckt. 1972 wurde die H\u00f6hle der \u00d6ffentlichkeit zug\u00e4nglich gemacht. Im Zugangsstollen der Ochtinaer Aragonith\u00f6hle musst du 104 Stufen bew\u00e4ltigen und danach betrittst du einfach nur noch eine Welt der Sch\u00f6nheit, wie sie nur die allm\u00e4chtige Mutter Natur erschaffen konnte. Es ist ein weltweit einzigartiges Ph\u00e4nomen der kleinen Slowakei, zumal die H\u00f6hle eine von nur drei zug\u00e4nglichen Aragonith\u00f6hlen auf unserem Planeten ist. Die anderen zwei befinden sich in Mexiko und Argentinien. Von den 300 Metern Gesamtl\u00e4nge sind 230 begehbar und die F\u00fchrung dauert eine halbe Stunde. Den metrischen Daten nach handelt es sich um keine besonders gro\u00dfe H\u00f6hle, doch sie ist \u00e4u\u00dferst wertvoll. Die vielf\u00e4ltige Aragonit-Dekoration in Form von Spiralen, Nadeln und korallen\u00e4hnlichen Gebilden erzeugt eine bunte Mischung an wundersch\u00f6nen Bildern. Der Saal der Milchstra\u00dfe gilt als der sch\u00f6nste Ort der H\u00f6hle, wo wei\u00dfe Aragonit-Rispen in einem Deckenriss im Licht der Lampen den Eindruck der Sterne unserer Galaxie erzeugen.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

5. Finde Jona und den Wal an Land in \u0160t\u00edtnik<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Die dominierende Kirche auf dem Platz in \u0160t\u00edtnik ist mit gotischen Fresken geschm\u00fcckt, die dich in Erstaunen versetzen. Es ist ein unglaubliches Gef\u00fchl. Ganz pl\u00f6tzlich und v\u00f6llig unerwartet verl\u00e4sst man das 21. Jahrhundert und als ob man durch eine Zeitpforte ins Mittelalter hineintauchen w\u00fcrde. Bewundere apokalyptische Szenen, wei\u00dfe Reiter zu Pferd, den heiligen Bartholom\u00e4us mit roter Farbe und abgezogener Haut \u00fcber seinen Schultern auf der \u00e4ltesten Gotik an der Ostwand des Seitenschiffs. Gerade hier wurde die f\u00fcr Italien typische echte Freskentechnik verwendet. Eine bemerkenswerte Szene aus der alttestamentlichen Legende \u00fcber Jona und den Wal findet man in der Kirche von \u0160t\u00edtnik k\u00fcnstlerisch mehrfach verarbeitet: in Form eines Reliefs im Aufsatz des Hauptaltars, als Tafelbild auf einem der Epitaphien und ebenfalls als eine kleine Freskenszene. Aufgrund dieser Verdreifachung des Motivs befindet sich Jona im Logo der Kirche. Und um es nicht bei der biblischen Drei zu belassen - in \u0160t\u00edtnik braucht sich auch die biblische Sieben nicht zu verstecken. Schau dir das gotische Fenster an. Die Kreise symbolisieren das weltliche Motiv der sieben freien K\u00fcnste, die sogenannten septem artes liberales. Du findest dort Logik, Arithmetik, Grammatik, Rhetorik, Astronomie oder Musik. So etwas unter biblischen Motiven zu sehen ist eine absolute Rarit\u00e4t. Eine weitere Darstellung dieser Art findet man erst in der s\u00fcditalienischen Stadt Lucca wieder.<\/span><\/p>\n

Nun, hierher gelangt wirklich nur eine Bahnw\u00e4chterin der historischen Schienengeheimnisse. Sie h\u00e4lt sie in der Dunkelheit der Tunnel verborgen und du hast heute die Gelegenheit, durch diese absolute Dunkelheit zu gehen, in der ihre gro\u00dfen Geheimnisse erstrahlen. Der Spaziergang durch den Tunnel hat seinen geheimnisvollen Charme und seine eigenartige Geschichte. Der Slavo\u0161ovsk\u00fd-Tunnel unter dem H\u00fcgel Hom\u00f4lka zusammen mit den nahe gelegenen Kopr\u00e1\u0161sky-Tunnel und -Viadukt sind Orte, an denen dich ein starkes Erlebnis erwartet. Es sind verlassene Eisenbahntunnel, durch die noch nie zuvor ein Zug gefahren ist. Sie sind jedoch \u00f6ffentlich zug\u00e4nglich und bergen beim Begehen ein unvergessliches Erlebnis. In ihnen herrscht magische Dunkelheit, k\u00fchle Feuchtigkeit und eine totale Stille. Erleuchte die Geheimnisse der dunklen Tunnel mit einer Stirn- oder Taschenlampe. Mutige Besucher vergleichen den Besuch des Tunnels mit einem starken Adrenalin-Erlebnis. Es ist ein wahrlich au\u00dfergew\u00f6hnliches Gef\u00fchl, das sich lohnt! Der Slavo\u0161ovsk\u00fd-Tunnel ist 2,4 km lang und 6 m hoch. Er verbindet die Gemeinden Slavo\u0161ovce und Magnezitovce und wurde nie in Betrieb genommen. Mit dem Bau wurde 1941, w\u00e4hrend des Zweiten Weltkriegs begonnen. Im Fr\u00fchjahr 1944 erfolgte der feierliche Durchbruch. Zum Kriegsende und mit dem sich abzeichnenden Slowakischen Nationalaufstand verlor die Fertigstellung des Tunnels an Bedeutung. Schlie\u00dflich wurde der Tunnel nie genutzt. Der Bau des Kopr\u00e1\u0161sky-Tunnels begann im M\u00e4rz 1941. Trotz Transport- und Versorgungsschwierigkeiten dauerte er nur wenige Monate. Bereits am 11. August 1941 konnte auf der Baustelle des Tunnels, dessen Richtungsabweichung nicht gr\u00f6\u00dfer als 1 Millimeter war, eine Feier zum Durchbruch des Tunnels gefeiert werden, und bemerkenswert ist auch, dass der Vortrieb des Richtstollens unfallfrei blieb. Im Vergleich zu seinem ber\u00fchmteren Slavo\u0161ovsk\u00fd-Nachbarn ist der Kopr\u00e1\u0161sky-Tunnel viel k\u00fcrzer (seine L\u00e4nge betr\u00e4gt nicht einmal 250 m) und ist auch ohne k\u00fcnstliche Beleuchtung passierbar. Er m\u00fcndet in Form eines Viadukts aus, das jedoch unvollendet blieb. 38 Meter hoch und 120 Meter lang ist der Viadukt, der sich \u00fcber der umliegenden malerischen Landschaft erhebt.<\/span><\/p>\n

Die Frische der Photosynthese der Vergangenheit weht dir von B\u00e4umen aus der Andr\u00e1ssy-\u00c4ra - dem Speierling, einer modernen Frucht zu Zeiten von Maria Theresia - zu. \u00dcberall herrscht eine ansteckende Ruhe. In der Umgebung der Anlage findet man verschiedene bemerkenswerte Naturph\u00e4nomene wie Dolinen, Schluchten, hei\u00dfe Quellen, H\u00f6hlen und seltene Fauna und Flora. Das Gombaseker Areal bietet verschiedene Sehensw\u00fcrdigkeiten. Hier kannst du durch ein spezielles Fenster in die Vergangenheit blicken, ein Lehrpfad durchwandern, auf einen Aussichtsturm steigen oder die Geschichte eines Paulinerklosters erkunden. Lass dich auch von der unterirdischen Sch\u00f6nheit der Gombaseker H\u00f6hle einnehmen. Genau dort ist der Ort, wo Steinregen f\u00e4llt. Schlie\u00df jedoch nicht das Fenster, genie\u00df einfach die Aussicht auf alles, was das Gombaseker Areal zu bieten hat.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n
