Andrássy’s gallery in Krásnohorské Podhradie

Dionyz Andresi, the former youngest owner of the Krasnohorske estate, and an adorer of art, had a former building of the exhibition built between 1908 and 1909, for the purpose of placing a valuable art collection in there. This building has been under the administration of the Mining museum in Rožnava since 1975. Folk art work from the Gemer region was presented here between 1978-1989. This place is currently used for the exhibition of art work from the 18th and 19th century coming from the following collections, the mining museum of Rožňava, the castle of Krasna Horka, and the Betliar manor house. The most significant of these exhibits is the oil painting named death of Attila painted by Ferencz Paczka in 1884.
