Majer Bara
In the village of Malá Bara, you will find Majer Bara, a place where visitors can enjoy refreshments in a restaurant and taste traditional specialties prepared from local ingredients. The complex includes a restaurant with an outdoor terrace, as well as a multifunctional hall for various types of events. The pension offers eight double rooms with the option of two extra beds. Guests can relax in the wellness area featuring a Finnish sauna, infrared sauna, and a hot tub. Long-term and short-term horse boarding is also available, and visitors can enjoy horseback rides or carriage trips.
Tokaj Gold Winery is located in the village of Viničky in the Orešie vineyard area, under the slope of the Borsug volcano, facing southeast. Vineyard planting began in 2014, and today around 6 hectares of Tokaj grape varieties are cultivated, including Furmint, Lipovina, Yellow Muscat, and Zeta. The vineyard is mostly cultivated by hand due to its steep terrain. Only natural fertilizers are used, and plant protection is limited to gentle or biological sprays applied minimally against mildew and other diseases.
The grapes are processed in the winery located directly in the vineyard. The building is made of tuff stone typical for the Tokaj region. Wines mature in stainless steel tanks with a total capacity of 70,000 liters and in oak barrels with a capacity of 17,000 liters, placed in a traditional 100-meter-long tuff cellar. Annual production reaches up to 30,000 liters. No artificial yeasts or enzymes are used, and the wine is produced using traditional methods.
The winery offers tastings, tours of production areas and the cellar, and the possibility to bottle wine directly from barrels. It is also suitable for celebrations and corporate events in a tasting room built from tuff stone with a wooden ceiling and fireplace, with a capacity of 40 people. Catering is provided by the Majer Bara restaurant.
The wellness area includes a heated hot tub for six people, a Finnish sauna, and an infrared sauna, with a cooling wooden tub and relaxation area overlooking the Tokaj landscape. Horseback riding is also available, with guided or independent rides through the vineyards, as well as beginner lessons and pony rides for children.
