Sauna by the Slovak Sea (Zemplínska Šírava Sauna)

Medvedia hora, a popular summer resort at Zemplínska Šírava, introduces a new concept – “Sauna by the Slovak Sea”, responding to the growing interest in a healthy lifestyle, relaxation, and cold-water therapy.

The newly built sauna is heated exclusively by a wood-burning stove, making it ecological and energy-independent. Visitors can add wood to the stove themselves according to their preferred temperature and relax to the soothing sound of crackling firewood.

For those who enjoy relaxing after a sauna session, there is a resting area with two wooden loungers. For visitors seeking a refreshing cooldown, the waters of Zemplínska Šírava are just a few steps away.

The sauna operates in accordance with the opening hours of the Anima guesthouse and is open not only to its guests but also to the general public. It is rented as a whole unit, suitable for individuals or groups of 6 to 8 people.

Medvedia hora, with its maintained pebble beach, is one of the most popular resorts at Zemplínska Šírava, attracting visitors not only in summer but throughout the year. Accommodation is available in a campsite (tent or caravan) or at the Anima guesthouse. From autumn to spring, the area is also frequented by cold-water enthusiasts who strengthen their immunity by swimming in the waters of the “Slovak Sea.”
