Vodný hrad Štítnik

The Water Castle in Štítnik is a medieval structure built around 1432. It originally served as a defensive fortress for the Bebek family and later for the Bakoš family.

Today, the Water Castle symbolically protects the cultural and recreational life of the village. Many artistic, cultural, and social events in the Gemer region, including art exhibitions, concerts, summer cinema screenings, wine tastings, and craft markets, take place at the Water Castle in Štítnik. The castle also features the contact Mini ZOO – Gemer Farm and offers free sports equipment rental.
