Educational Trail Šaca – Forest Café

Just 15 minutes from the hustle and bustle of Košice, in the quiet and magical Dúbrava forest in the Šaca district, you will find a place that captivates with its peaceful atmosphere and rustic charm. Established in 2021, this tourist trail attracts visitors of all ages – perfect for walks with children, trips with friends, as well as for cyclists and nature lovers.

A new feature has recently enhanced the area even further – the Forest Café “U lesných víl” (At the Forest Fairies).

In this pleasant natural setting, you can relax, refresh yourself, and recharge your energy. This is not a typical café – its design blends harmoniously with nature. There is also a fireplace for grilling, creating the perfect atmosphere for romantic evenings or family moments by the fire.

All facilities – tables, benches, counter, and fireplace – are freely accessible to the public all year round. Whether you come for coffee, a barbecue, a picnic, or simply to sit and read in the forest, the Forest Café offers a space for relaxation, socializing, and slowing down.

A code is displayed on the coffee box, which allows you to open it. You can lock it again using any code. Inside, you will find everything you need to prepare coffee – coffee, water, sugar, cups, and equipment.
