Expozície Múzea a Kultúrneho centra južného Zemplína v Trebišove

The Regional Museum was established in 1954 in Sečovce and has been based in Trebišov since 1981. The museum collects and presents documents and artifacts related to the development of the Trebišov district, specializing in the history of agriculture and Tokaj viticulture in eastern Slovakia.

Its seat is a manor house built in 1786 by Count I. Csáky in the Baroque-Classical style using the remains of Parič Castle. In the 1830s, the manor was inherited by the Andrássy family, who rebuilt it in the Neo-Renaissance style and surrounded it with a park featuring exotic trees. The park also contains a Neo-Gothic mausoleum of the family dating from the late 19th century. Since 2012, the museum has carried the new name – the Museum and Cultural Centre of Southern Zemplín in Trebišov.

The historic manor house in Trebišov underwent extensive reconstruction between 2015 and 2016, through which it gained a renewed appearance and acquired a comfortable, stylish character and atmosphere.

Within its chambers, the past blends with the present, art with tradition, and culture with
sensitivity.

The museum has created a space for all age groups to realize their ideas and interests — from kindergarten children, school pupils, secondary school students, university students, to families, tourists, and visitors
