Guitar Museum in Sobrance

If you ever visit Sobrance, or pass by, don’t miss the chance to visit the unique guitar museum. Visitors can admire a complete collection of around 120 electric guitars from 1947 to 1980. Among the most valuable pieces are the amplified double basses, Hawaiian guitars and guitars Grazioso that were awarded a gold medal at the world exhibition, EXPO58, in Brussels. These types of guitars were used by megastars such as George Harrison, Jimmy Page and Eric Clapton. Some of the guitars were donated to the museum by Petr Janda from Olympic, Maťo Ďurinda from Tublatanka and other famous musicians from the Slovak music scene. Besides guitars, you can also have a look at old amplifiers and a large amount of visual material as part of the exhibition.
