Jasov Campsite

The original Jasov campsite is a typical natural campsite where you can pitch a tent or unpark your caravan at the triangular forest cabins. The Jasov campsite will provide you with basic services during your stopover on a hiking tour or on a trip with friends or family. In addition, you can also enjoy a delicious meal at the campsite and sit on the terrace. A few minutes’ walk from the side exit will take you to a sports pond and several hiking trails, and from the main gate it is only a few metres to the beautiful Premonstratensian monastery, which you will see from the road when you arrive at the campsite.

Just a few metres from the campsite, in the Monastery Garden, there is the Premonstratensian Monastery, which is popular with tourists and may be admired right from the road. If you use the side exit of the Jasov campsite, you will reach a sports pond where you can sit pleasantly on the benches under the trees or take a walk. If you continue along the pond further into the woods, you may come across several hiking trails. The most famous is the Jasovská Skala Instructional Trail, which leads past the Old Monastery Cemetery of the Premonstratensians, to the ruins of the Jasov Castle, to the Jasovská Skala rock, from where you can enjoy a beautiful view of the monastery. From here, follow the trails to the Jasov Cave, where you can cool off. It is a relatively easy hike, also suitable for families with children.

Our tip: If you go hiking from the campsite along the Janovská Skala rock guided trail, pack something warmer to wear and you can combine the hike with a visit to the Jasov Cave. The average temperature in the cave is about 8o C. From the cave, it is only a short walk to the campsite, and you can make a nice sightseeing tour. Note: The entrance fee in the cave cannot be paid by card.
