Kométa v Zádielskej tiesňave

The artwork is located at the entrance to the Zádiel Gorge, which is part of the Slovak Karst National Park. Its silhouette evokes a flying comet on the horizon. The form was created by combining recycled parts of technical and natural materials, specifically a concrete mixer drum and discarded Christmas trees. The object is installed on the boundary between a nature reserve and an industrial landscape, visually and conceptually linking the limestone cliffs of the Zádiel Gorge with a nearby cement plant. It uses a relatively simple visual expression and a contrasting combination of materials into a readable sign, while at the same time being rich in meaning and emotion. It works with irony and suggests critical environmental reflections on the use of natural resources associated with the accelerated transformation of the landscape and changes in its perception.
