Pútnické miesto Bralo

Pilgrimage site Bralo is located about 3.5 km northwest of the village of Malé Ozorovce. It lies below the peak of Dlhá hora (591 m above sea level), at an altitude of 333 meters. This sacred place was established in 2003 on the site of a former quarry, where, according to reports, the Virgin Mary appeared to a religious sister named Agáta. The Mother of God allegedly asked her to continue coming to this place and to pass on her messages to people. Many believers later reported that their prayers were answered here.

At the center of the former quarry there is a stone amphitheatre. In front of a massive rock stands a wooden shelter with a tower-shaped shingled roof, topped by a double-armed cross. Inside this open pavilion is a stone altar. Beneath the shelter, near stone steps, there is a wooden cross about three meters high depicting Jesus. On the left side of the steps there is a wooden information panel with an image of the Virgin Mary and the inscription “I AM THE QUEEN OF HEAVEN AND EARTH.” Further left stands a tree with an image of Jesus, and nearby there is an almost enclosed wooden pavilion with a tower-shaped roof.

The entire area is equipped with wooden benches on cast-iron frames, offering space for rest and contemplation. On the right side of the site there are three small enclosed confession booths, also with tower-shaped roofs topped with double crosses. The pilgrimage site is also connected to a so-called miraculous spring known as Bralo, located in a wooden chapel with a statue of the Virgin Mary.

The site is accessible via a field road that is initially reinforced with concrete panels. After about 2.5 km, it turns into a regular dirt path lined with stations of the Way of the Cross. These wooden chapels with roofs and images guide pilgrims toward Bralo. At the end of the path, turning left leads to Bralo, while to the right, below the benches in a small valley, is the spring.
