Schulerloch ÚŽ 6–type military bunker

In the suburban area of Schulerloch near Spišská Nová Ves, visitors can find a renovated ÚŽ 6–type military bunker, featuring authentic military artefacts from the 1960s to the 1980s. The small exhibition inside the bunker is dedicated to the history and activities of Military Unit 3521 based in Spišská Nová Ves.

Admission to the bunker is free of charge.
The entrance door can be opened in two ways:
• Using a chip – available for loan with a €30 deposit at the Tourist Information Centre (TIC)

• Using the AirKey mobile application – internet and Bluetooth connection required

If you wish to use the mobile app access, please contact the
Tourist Information Centre (TIC) by phone at
+421 53 429 8293 and provide the following details:
• your name
• your mobile phone number (used to open the door)
• the planned date and time of your visit

If the TIC is open at that time, a staff member will register your details in the system and send you a confirmation SMS.
If you plan to visit the bunker outside the TIC’s opening hours, it is possible to send the required details several days in advance. For more information, please contact the TIC or fill in the online form.

Nearby attractions include a shooting range, observation tower, Karasova diera cave, spring, small lake, and a wooden chapel.
During the winter months, cross-country skiing is also possible in the Schulerloch area.
