Stellplatz pod Spišský hradom
Near one of the most important historical and cultural symbols of Slovakia, Spiš Castle (Spišský hrad), there is a designated area for short-term parking and resting of caravan travellers – a so-called stellplatz. It provides practical facilities for visitors who want to enjoy the unique atmosphere of the Spiš region directly under the monumental castle ruin, which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
This location primarily serves as a convenient stopover point during travel, offering easy access to the castle, hiking trails around Spišské Podhradie, and other significant monuments in the region. Visitors benefit from an ideal position for exploring one of the largest castle complexes in Central Europe.
The surrounding area combines history, nature, and panoramic views of the Spiš Basin, making it a popular destination for both cultural and caravan tourism. The stellplatz naturally complements the tourism infrastructure of the region and encourages longer stays in the area.
